DESCRIPTION:

This is a translation based off of PianoHombre’s Captain Tsubasa 3 hack. It fixes many of the issues, like the crashing, the translation, other things too. However, despite being based off of it, there’s still more than enough new here, including a completely different translation.

There are quality of life changes, like showing only the important character’s names, changing some move names to be more intuitive (e.g. the Tiger Overhead was changed to Tiger Volley because it’s a low move), and changing the advice dialogue to be more helpful.

However, there are flaws with it, most of them because it’s based on multiple hacks instead of the original game. Some teams (namely Bayern, Holland, and *especially* U.S.A.) have some wrong names, the “Avalanche” move in the Leadership menu doesn’t display, and a very terrible flaw, the Penalty Kicks don’t work. Not the ones you get on foul, but *only* the Penalties you encounter after drawing on both the normal match *and* the overtime. The game does try to warn you about this, though…so you should probably either restart or intentionally go down a few points if you can’t win.

There’s also a minor bug which happens sometimes, It doesn’t happen consistently, but it’s pretty minor. Sometimes when the game puts a football cursor on the screen to prompt you to press “A” to continue the cutscene, but sometimes, it just won’t show the cursor. It’s still there and everything, so just pressing “A” usually does the job. On the off chance that doesn’t work, you can just press SELECT to skip the cutscene. However, it likely won’t happen, because it’s never fully crashed that when testing this.

One more thing: The secret Sound Test (press L+R+X on the Title Screen) does not work and instantly crashes the game.

Almost all of these are bugs that are in the PianoHombre version that could not be fixed.

However, there may be a version 2.0 in the future made off of the original Japanese version, but maybe not. For now, this is what’s been made.
